2013 Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Riserva, Tuscany, Italy

Herbal scent of black and red berries with a little cherry, tobacco, liquorice, pepper and notes clearly reminiscent of Provence herbs. Clear, tart, increasingly juicy fruit, a little wood and more herbaceous aromas, fine sandy tannins, good sustainability, some acid bite, dark roasted nuances in the background, a hint of salt, has bite and strength, a hint of licorice, meaty traces, a little peppery spicy tones, also a little salty mineral, very good, still very slightly drying finish. Still has to ripen a little.
