2014 Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, Tuscany, Italy

Tart, slightly floral and tobacco scent of mixed berries with a hint of rubber, undergrowth and meaty, animal nuances. Also relatively tart in the mouth, straightforward fruit with vegetal, earthy and slightly nutty notes, more undergrowth, fine sandy, slightly astringent tannins, a hint of citrus fruit, very slightly sooty, good persistence, light pepper spice and some cocoa in the background, certain warmth, good to very good, juicy and spicy finish with nutmeg.
