2014 Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Vigna Piaggia, Tuscany, Italy

Slightly floral, undergrowth and a hint of tobacco, predominantly red berries with nutty, spicy and slightly buttery nuances, herbs of Provence and a hint of pomegranate and blood orange. Quite firm, juicy fruit, again with blood orange and some pomegranate, vegetal notes, cocoa-spicy, smoky and a little nutty wood, noticeable acid bite, some sandy tannins, has strength and some warmth, again dried Provence herbs in the background, good sustainability, still slightly drying , very good to long finish with tart juice and salty notes.
