1979 P.D.O. Mavrodafni Patron (O.P.E.) / Μαυροδάφνη Πατρών süß Mavrodaphne Grand Reserve, Peloponnese / Πελοπóννησος, Greece

Mature nose with dried yellow fruit and plums, gooseberry and rhubarb compote, herbs and some tobacco, caramel and sugar candy, high in alcohol with whiffs of malt whiskey. Concentrated and sweet on the palate, oxidative, prominent tobacco, dried yellow fruit and dried herbs, light acid bite, mineral notes, very persistent and deep, delicate coffee, very complex aromas on a very long finish.
