2003 Foral de Évora, Alentejo, Portugal

Prominent red berry nose, dominated by new oak. Polished, quite full-bodied fruit in the mouth, very ripe red berries, with some spice and delicate notes of cocoa, soft and harmnious, rounded off by medium, almost silky tannins, well-made blend in a modern style, lacks a little real substance, but it makes up for this in charm and accessibility, attractive to good finish.
