2001 Barbera d'Alba DOC Superiore La Pantalera, Piedmont, Italy

Fairly mature nose with notes of red berries, some green notes, chocolate and some oak. Firm with some acidity, moderate, fairly polished fruit, red berries and some cherries, not particularly persistent, light roasted notes, prominent, integrated, slightly astringent tannins, clean, not a lot of substance, attractive finish.
