2006 Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC/DOP Solàrea, Abruzzi, Italy

Orange zests and preserved pomaceous fruit on the nose, spicy coconut and nutty oak. Earthy, rustic, almost coarse style, oaky, compact tart apple and must pear fruit on the palate, shows character, good substance, shows backbone, prominent oak, but does not overwhelm the wine, still has potential to develop, good finish. Not made in the traditional style, but its almost wild character is also not an international style.
