2006 Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC/DOP Riseis di Recastro, Abruzzi, Italy

Preserved cherries and dark berries on the nose, light spicy and roasted notes. Elegant, juicy black fruit on the palate, some dark roasted oak, fairly prominent, fine and only slightly astringent tannins, touch of carbon dioxide, good persistence, still youthful, quite well balanced, good finish.
