2005 Barbaresco DOCG Vigneto Loreto, Piedmont, Italy

Editor note: Deep, complex nose, ripe and partly dried, partly preserved red berries, partly dried flowers, prominent mineral notes, dried herbs and spices. Supple and juicy on the palate, very ripe red fruit, sweetish oak, fairly prominent, very fine and still slightly astringent tannins, floral notes, mineral traces, full-bodied and creamy, concentrated, almost chewy, still largely undeveloped, very good depth, very long finish. Needs time to mature.
