2005 Barolo DOCG Monvigliero, Piedmont, Italy

Translate to English Floraler und leicht gewürziger Duft nach reifen roten und etwas schwarzen Beeren mit Kirsch- und Zwetschgennoten, etwas Süßholz, getrockneten Blüten und erdigen bis mineralischen Noten. Reife, dabei relativ herbe Frucht, kräuterige, getrocknet-pflanzliche und nussige Aromen, wieder auch Süßholz, präsentes, leicht trocknendes Tannin, etwas Säurebiss, Kräuter am Gaumen, nachhaltig am Gaumen, ganz leicht spröde, ein Hauch Kakao, etwas Kandis, sehr guter, ganz leicht trocknender, auch schmerlziger Abgang mit gewisser Alkoholwärme.

Editor note: Preserved and partly dried red and some black berries on the nose, hint of chocolate and light roasted notes, dried herbs and earthy traces, prominent menthol and pine. More prominent spicy oak on the palate, polished, juicy fruit, also has some astringent oak tannins, candied herbaceous notes, some more menthol, creamy, lactic toffee notes, some licorice and chocolate, not particularly deep, good finish.
