2006 Badacsony Syrah trocken, Balaton, Hungary

Black berries and cherries on the nose, some tart vegetal and peppery notes, light smoky notes. Clear and straightforward on the palate, more smoky oak, fine sandy, very slightly astringent tannins, sooty notes, fairly persistent, slightly astringent again on an attractive finish.
