2008 Leithaberg DAC Blaufränkisch trocken Alte Reben, Burgenland, Austria

Nutty nose, light earthy notes, hint of bacon, black and a few red berries and cherries, hint of coffee, herbaceous traces. Ripe, juicy, tart fruit on the palate, fairly prominent fine sandy tannins, herbaceous and nutty aromas, light bite, good substance and persistence, some depth, erthy and light salty notes, very slightly astringent, light vegetal traces on a very good, fairly juicy finish. Perhaps already a little past its peak, but still very good.
