2013 Leithaberg DAC Blaufränkisch trocken, Burgenland, Austria

Firm nose, sour cherries and mixed berries, light dried vegetal notes, earthy notes, blue flowers, delicate hint of old oak. Clear, lively, fairly juicy fruit on the palate, elegant acid bite, youthful but generally well integrated tannins, persistent and quite concentrated, dried vegetal notes, some old oak, good substance, still largely undeveloped, salty and peppery notes in the background, very polished, quite an elegant style, some depth, very good tart, fairly juicy finish. Enjoyable.
