2015 trocken Heideboden, Burgenland, Austria

Tart nose, light dried vegetal and earthy notes, black berries and a few sour cherries, violets, hint of licorice, mineral traces. Clear, firm, tart, fairly cool dark fruit on the palate, nutty oak, hint of tobacco, lively acidity, fairly prominent, youthful, still slightly astringent tannins, earthy notes in the background, hint of tobacco, some grip, light spicy and toasted notes, hint of bacon on a good to very good firm, tart finish.
