2007 Barbera d'Alba DOC, Piedmont, Italy

Fairly open nose, cherries and plums, herbaceous notes, hint of marzipan. Uncomplicated, clear red berry fruit on the palate, some cherries and light herbaceous notes, very slightly artificial, integrated tannins, appears lighter than it is, delicately juicy and refreshing, very slightly astringent on an attractive to good finish.
