2011 Ghemme DOCG "Collis Carellae", Piedmont, Italy

Editor note: Bacon-animal, earthy and dried-vegetal scent of red and also black berries with tar notes, mushy aromas, forest floor and quite clearly parsley. Ripe, partly preserved, more red than black fruit with nutty and slightly roasted oak, cocoa, spicy notes, good substance and persistence, some warmth, tobacco in the background, some coffee grounds, very good finish, again with lots of wood.
