2005 Côtes du Roussillon AOC Alba, Roussillon, France

Prominent spicy oak on the nose, cloves, cardamom, cinnamon and roasted nuts, dried apples and some honeydew melon. Restrained fruit on the palate, sweetish spicy notes and prominent oak, fairly creamy, elegant acidity, not a lot of real depth, some sugar candy in the background, hint of caramel, attractive finish.
