2013 Valtellina Superiore DOCG Riserva Sassella "Ultimi Raggi", Lombardy, Italy

Deep, tobacco-like and slightly floral, also a hint of woody and spicy scent of ripe, mainly red berries and a hint of dates with slightly ethereal notes. Tight, quite tart, yet incredibly juicy fruit with dried vegetable, a little floral, earthy and nutty tones, noble cocoa, first very slightly drying, then rather handy, backbone giving tannin, excellent persistence and depth, in the background then a lot of salty minerality, a trace of iodine, mushroom notes, becomes more and more complex in the air, very firm structure, yet elegant, still very young, very good to long, firm, juicy finish. Great
