The winery "Cantine Asheri Giacomo" is located in the center of the city of Brà in the province of Cuneo in the Italian region Piedmont, It was founded in 1880 and is still family owned. Today it is managed by Matteo Ascheri, who is supported by oenologist Giuliano Baghino and agronomist Edoardo Monticelli. The "Osteria Murivecchi" (restaurant) and a hotel is connected. The vineyards cover 28 hectares of vineyards around the communities La Morra and Serralunga d'Alba in the heart of the Barolo area. There is a wide range of DOC or DOCG wines. these are Barbera d'Alba (Fontanelle) Barolo (Sorano, Sorano Coste & Bricco, Vigna dei Pola), Dolcetto d'Alba (Vigna Nirane, Vigna San Rocco), Langhe. Nebbiolo d'Alba (Bricco San Giacomo) and Roero (Arneis Christina Ascheri). The wines are produced depending on the location of the vineyards in the three estates Montalupa (Brà), Rivalta (La Morra) and Sirano (Serralunga). The wines are aged in large oak barrels (not in barriques). Every year around 300,000 bottles of wine are produced. It will also grappa generated.
