1999 Barolo DOCG Sorano, Piedmont, Italy

Fairly mature and slightly oxidative nose, dried herbs, lovage and some soup greens, notes of dried prunes and red berries and some light malted notes. Juicy and quite concentrated on the palate, light spicy and roasted notes, some more soup green, also some minty notes, hint of chocolate, oxidative notes, creamy, fairly deep, fairly prominent and slightly astringent tannins, mineral notes in the background, very good finish.

Best to drink: Bis 2009+. What our ratings mean
