2001 Barolo DOCG Sorano Coste & Bricco, Piedmont, Italy

Editor note: Deep complex nose, light herbs and spices, ripe, partly preserved red berries with floral notes, some oranges, smoky oak and mineral notes in the background. Very full-bodied, preserved red berries and more smoky oak, tart vegetal notes, considerable bite on the palate, sweetish and creamy, very good depth, cool mineral notes in the background, firm structure, still very young, still has light bitter notes, very concentrated and substantial, very good finish. Improves for days after opening, needs time to mature.
