2001 Barolo DOCG Vigna dei Pola, Piedmont, Italy

Complex and quite deep nose, preserved red berries, violets, some plums, leather with mineral notes. Clean, elegantly juicy fruit, very firmly structured, fairly prominent, evenly distributed tannins, more floral notes on the palate, mineral backbone, very concentrated and persistent, complex, very good depth, long finish.

Best to drink: 2008-2012+. What our ratings mean
