2006 Barbera d'Alba DOC Fontanelle, Piedmont, Italy

Editor note: Firm nose with small red berries and some black berries, light mineral notes, some sour light cherries as well as leafy and herbaceous notes. Very cool on the palate, elegant and juicy, delicate floral and vegetal notes, some old oak and a hint of tobacco, fine, still youthful tannins, mineral backbone, good persistence, good finish.
