2002 Vini del Piave (Piave) DOC Merlot, Veneto, Italy

Red and black berries on the nose, smoky, spicy oak, light cedary notes. Clean fruit, straightforward, fine dusty tannins, quite full-bodied, noticeable alcohol, delicate tart notes on the palate, not particularly deep, attractive finish.
