1999 Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Riserva, Tuscany, Italy

Partly preserved red and black berries, some cherries and floral notes, roasted aromas. Quite juicy and typical on the palate, quite fine, still youthful tannins, mineral notes, good structure and body, initially subdued roasted notes develop with aeration,remains quite cool with mineral notes, slightly bitter, astringent oak comes through later, spicy oak and fruit on the finish.
