2003 Marche IGT Chardonnay La Capinera, Marches, Italy

Notes of pears and honeydew melon on the nose, dominated by heavy spicy oak, with smoky and roasted notes. Very creamy in the mouth, prominent oak with roasted and smoky notes, but also has clean juicy fruit, very elegant acidity, persistent on the palate, very full-bodied with noticeable alcohol, still appears quite youthful, mineral notes in the background, good, long finish.
