2004 Sant 'Antimo DOC Romito del Romitorio, Tuscany, Italy

Translate to English Schokoladiger und etwas süßlich-gewürziger Duft nach eingemachten und angetrockneten gemischten Beeren und Kirschen mit an Suppenkräuter erinnernden Noten, getrockneten Blüten und ein wenig Leder. Eher herbe Frucht mit rauchig-speckigen Noten, röstigem Holz, Suppenkräutern und relativ viel Salz, ein wenig Zitruszesten am Gaumen, präsente Säure und recht straffes, leicht trocknendes Tannin, gute Nachhaltigkeit, mineralische Noten, hat Biss, sehr guter Abgang.

Editor note: Partly dried and preserved red and black berries on the nose, cherries, herbaceous notes, some chocolate, sweetish roasted notes. Quite juicy on the palate, clear fruit with herbaceous notes and some toasted oak, quite lively, elegant acidity, fine but slightly astringent tannins, relatively cool style, light acid bite, good persistence, good finish.
