2012 Barolo DOCG Arborina, Piedmont, Italy

Fairly tart, deep and complex, dried vegetal to tobacco and delicate floral notes of red berries and cherries with a hint of dark berries, earthy and mineral notes and moderate wood notes. Ripe, partly preserved canned, very juicy fruit, very fine, but firm tannins and some acid bite, persistent and dense on the palate, delicate chocolate aromas, mineral notes in the background, complex, moderate wood with delicate toasted notes, herbaceous traces and a little licorice, good depth, very good to long, juicy and slightly alcoholic finish. Must something mature.
