2015 Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, Tuscany, Italy

Firm, tart, somewhat cedar-woody and tobacco scent of ripe black and red berries with a little plum, licorice and dried-on floral and earthy notes. Ripe, fairly polished, juicy, rather tart fruit, nutty and again cedar wood notes, slightly peppery notes, some roasted notes, dried vegetal and mushroom aromas, persistent on the palate, lots of strength, animating bite, earthy and salty in the background, slightly tobacco, complex, fairly elegant style, very good, firm finish with relatively cool juice.
