2012 Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Riserva, Tuscany, Italy

Nutty, spicy oak and a hint of tobacco on the nose, light animal notes, mixed and partly dried plums, some iodine, dried floral and earthy notes. Ripe, fairly firm, juicy fruit on the palate, some licorice, light spicy oak, some cocoa and coffee, fine sandy tannins, hint of dark caramel, sweetish and creamy, good substance and persistence, slightly noticeable warm alcohol, partly dried red fruit and sweetish spice on a very good finish.
