2006 Gabiano DOC Riserva a Matilde Giustiniani, Piedmont, Italy

Ripe, preserved red and some black berries on the nose, delicate hint of plums, some dried herbs, earthy traces and some oak. Clear, cool, slightly tart fruit on the palate, earthy notes, oak, fine, sandy, slightly astringent tannins, noticeable alcohol, not particularly deep, slightly brittle on an attractive to good finish.
