2012 Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, Tuscany, Italy

Slightly dried vegetal and light earthy nose, red berries and some black berries, prominent mushroomy notes, undergrowth, malt and some soup herbs. Tart, juicy fruit on the palate, dark chocolate and some tobacco, spicy on the palate, some licorice, salt and herbs, some bacon, some more soup herbs, persistent, mature, fine tannins, not particularly deep, very good, juicy and spicy finish.
