2013 Barolo DOCG La Serra, Piedmont, Italy

Slightly nutty, woody and slightly tobacco nose, partly preserved red berries, earthy, floral and mushroom notes. Ripe red fruit on the palate, light nutty oak, fairly prominent tannins, noticeable acid bite, delicate bitter berry notes, fairly persistent, dried herbs in the background, some cocoa and lavender, not particularly deep, slightly brittle, noticeable alcohol, good finish.
