2007 Barolo DOCG Ravera, Piedmont, Italy

Developed, wild-floral and red-berry nose with slightly sharpening alcohol as well as earthy, dried vegetal and almond notes, some tobacco and metallic hints. Also in the mouth already slightly matured, quite warm red fruit, floral tones, a hint of eucalyptus, noticeable alcohol, relatively mellow tannin, a little milk chocolate on the palate, good persistence, not forever deep, some parsley in the background, slight acid bite, first a bit brittle, with air much juicier, slightly compote finish with sweetish wood aromas.

Editor note: Preserved and partly candied red berries and some black berries on the nose, elegant herbaceous notes, dried flowers, earthy and nutty traces. Quitefirm on the palate, juicy fruit, spicy oak, light nutty notes and chocolate, light acid bite, fairly prominent, mature, fine tannins, very creamy, dried flowers and a hint of licorice, good persistence and has some depth, sugar candy on a very good finish.
