2008 Barolo DOCG Ravera, Piedmont, Italy

Significantly developed, woody, iodine-like and mushy fragrance of dried rather dark berries with dry herbaceous notes, a little coffee spices and wilted floral notes. Fairly tart fruit on the palate, light spicy oak, dried herbaceous and floral notes, light acid bite, quite firm tannins, good persistence, cedary notes, hint of pepper, earthy and salty notes in the background, good grip, quite deep, quite deep, very good finish , tart, juicy, slightly astringent finish with peppery and iodine notes.
