2009 Barbera d'Alba DOC Superiore, Piedmont, Italy

Editor note: Slightly tart preserved red and some black berries on the nose, dried herbs nad spices, hint of partly dried citrus fruit. Soft, slightly creamy and sweetish fruit on the palate, delicate lactic notes, slightly smoky, fine tannins, delicate acid bite, not particularly deep, attractive to good finish.
