2000 Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Vigna Cerbaia, Tuscany, Italy

Lively and quite complex nose. preserved red berries and plums, mineral notes, leather and some lovage. Concentrated and juicy on the palate, elegantly spicy, firmly strucutred, elegant acid bite and fairly prominent, but very harmonious and evenly distributed tannins, more mineral notes, roasted, spicy oak in the bakcground, very good depth and persistence, long finish, shows excellent development.

Best to drink: Bis 2010+. What our ratings mean

Editor note: Nose not yet fully developed, leather, dried dark fruit preserves, minerals, some cloves and lovage. Firm and concentrated on the palate, very good structure, integrated oak with good presence, attractive acidity, mineral notes, oak and astringent tannins as well as fruit on the palate, good persistence and depth, still young, good finish.
