2008 Garda Bresciano DOC Gropello Mogrì, Lombardy, Italy

Slightly stalky nose, re berries and a hint of cassis, light touch of almonds. Herbaceous red berry fruit on the palate, more blackcurrants, light spice, moderate acidity, integrated tannins, fairly persistent, has backbone, slightly rustic style, very slightly astringent on an attractive to good finish.
