2014 Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Tassi, Tuscany, Italy

Somewhat woody and tobaccoy, also animalic aroma of mixed berries and a little plums with a hint of candy and herbs. Ripe, partly preserved fruit with slightly chocolaty wood notes and again a little candy, fine sandy tannin, warm and quite powerful on the palate, spicy nuances, very slightly sweet-compote tones, a hint of liquorice, very good, warm finish with very ripe fruit and again chocolate
