2015 Barbera d'Asti DOCG "San Bernardino", Piedmont, Italy

Somewhat dried vegetable, fleshy-animal and earthy scent of rather dark berries and cherries with peppery, mushroom and bacon notes. Ripe, slightly developed fruit, earthy, spicy and roasty-woody tones, some smoke and bacon, dried vegetable to tobacco aromas, good substance and persistence, minty notes, lots of alcohol, a little juniper, also floral nuances, good to very good finish with mineral traces and some bitterness
