2017 Colli Bolognesi DOC "Il Rosso Bologna", Emilia Romagna, Italy

Firm nose, but already very slightly open, black berries, dried bell peppers, aubergine, some tarry notes and dried herbs, earthy notes. Firmly stuctured, tart, juicy fruit on the palate, light tart smoky oak, light acid bite, fairly prominent, slightly astringent tannins, quite full-bodied, good persistence, slightly bitter herbaceous notes in the background, earthy and toasted ztaces, good to very good, tart finish.
