2014 Dogliani DOCG Superiore Vigna Garino, Piedmont, Italy

Oak and light earthy notes on the nose, partly preserved and partly dried black berries, spicy notes and a hint of bacon. Dark, tart fruit on the palate, hint of tobacco and ash, some oak, more earth notes, fairly prominent, slightly astringent tannins, high level of alcohol, chocolate and spicy aromas, slightly rustic style, more chocolate, spice, bacon, meat and partly dried fruit on a very good finish.
