2006 Monferrato DOC Vigneto Telegro, Piedmont, Italy

Very clear nose, partly dried cherries, blueberries and some red berries, sweetish herbaceous traces, some licorice. Clear nad juicy again on the palate, slightly spicy, some oak and cocoa, fairly fine tannins, only slightly astringent, very light acid bite, good persistence and has some depth, polished and lively, good to very good finish.

Best to drink: Bis 2013+. What our ratings mean

Editor note: Very slightly tart black berries and partly dried cherries on the nose, touch of licorice, some dark spicy oak. Quite dark fruit on the palate, light oak, fine sandy and slightly astringent tannins, fairly persistent, medium body, still youthful, not particularly deep, good finish.
