Preserved red berries and plums on the nose, some black berries and dried cherries, candied nuts, smoky and roasted notes, sweetish spicy oak. Tart on the palate, smoky and roasted notes, slightly astringent, fairly prominent tannins, some dark fruit behind this, dried herbs and some earthy notes, quite full-bodied, slightly persistent, slightly oaky on an attractive to good finish.
