2002 Oltrepò Pavese DOC Buttafuoco Storico "Vigna Barnaba di Sopra", Lombardy, Italy

Editor note: Preserved and dried black berries on the nose, dried herbs and some tobacco, smoky, spicy oak. Fairly cool fruit on the palate, quite juicy, herbaceous notes, roasted and smoky oak, fairly prominent, slightly dusty and still astringent, evenly distributed tannins, creamy, good persistence, noticeable alcohol, good finish.
