2003 Veronese IGT Geodoro, Veneto, Italy

Mature nose with partly dried mixed berries and plums, herbs and spices, roasted oak. Very full-bodied on the palate with high alcohol, sweetish with roasted and smoky notes, loads of astringent tannins, dried fruit in the background, vegetal notes, oak dominates on the palate, fairly creamy, but tannins make the finish slightly brittle.
