2013 Barolo DOCG Rocche di Castiglione, Piedmont, Italy

Slightly dried floral and spicy nose, red and some black berries, notes of dried mushrooms, bay leaf and some undergrowth and violets. Ripe, quite juicy red fruit on the palate, slightly dried vegetal notes, tobacco, nutty oak and earthy notes, quite fine, slightly sandy tannins, light cherries on the palate, some heat of alcohol, noticeable bite, still young, laurel and tobacco, still slightly astringent , salty nuances and citrus zests in the background, delicately spicy, very good, quite firm finish with notes reminiscent of soy sauce.
