2016 Barbaresco DOCG "Froi", Piedmont, Italy

Clear, rather cool, fresh, predominantly red berry scent with dried vegetal to herbaceous and tobacco notes, some rose petals, a hint of pepper and mineral notes. Ripe, juicy, partly preserved, partly fresh fruit with moderate wood, dried floral nuances and a hint of cocoa, very fine, youthful tannins and some bite, persistent on the palate, spicy nuances, salty mineral notes, very good, fairly firm, still slightly drying finish with handle and roasted tones.
