2014 Barolo DOCG Rocche di Castiglione, Piedmont, Italy

Somewhat developed, earthy, dried-vegetable and a little underwoody aroma with notes of mixed berries and a hint of plums as well as tobacco, animal, mushroom and peppery nuances. Quite juicy fruit in the mouth, nutty and spicy flavours, moderate wood, fine sandy tannin and a slight acid bite, good persistence, a touch of salt and herbs in the background, baking chocolate and hinted ash, floral nuances, a little coffee in the background, slightly rustic style, very good finish with hints of rum pot
