2006 Barbaresco DOCG "Ad Altiora", Piedmont, Italy

Partly dried red berries and plums on the nose, some dried flowers, slightly perfumed and spicy, earthy notes. Spicy fruit on the palate, light oak, roasted notes and chocolate, fairly fine and mature tannins, very slightly astringent, full-bodied and creamy, quite good persistence, slightly astringent on an otherwise good finish.
